not a translation agency.
The legal basis, plainly stated.
In Spain a sworn translation is the only kind that public bodies, notaries and courts accept. It must be done by a traductor-intérprete jurado appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC). Each appointment is published in the BOE and listed on the official register at exteriores.gob.es.

- Real Decreto 2002/2009sobre el título de Traductor-Intérprete JuradoDefines who can hold the sworn-translator title and the conditions for its use.
- Orden AEC/2125/2014de 6 de noviembreSpecifies the layout, certification formula and seal every sworn translation must carry.
- MAEC Instrucción de 6 de abril de 2020sobre firma electrónicaConfirms a digitally-signed sworn translation has the same legal effect as a paper original.
